Definitely a hard situation! My dad had a bad reaction to his medication and didn't know who I was for over two weeks. He thought I was an enemy. It was so sad and hard and difficult. I was so grateful to God that they were able to adjust his medication and, while he never went back totally to normal, he did pretty much know me after that AND knew he loved me and I loved him. That was the best gift I got that Christmas!

My mother had severe dementia by the times she died resulting, we were told, from myriad TIAAs. It was horrible.

I'm so glad you are addressing such important issues. This is such a valuable blog.
